Before Your Appointment

Arrive with CLEAN LASHES! Its so important to arrive with squeaky clean lashes to have the best retention. Any residue (such as mascara and moisturizers) will greatly impact the length of wear, even fall out within days.

If you recently removed lash extensions and are looking for new ones put on, we recommend waiting a minimum of 24-hours depending on the condition of your natural lashes.

First time at KHROMA? If you have a lash set on already that was done elsewhere and you are booked for a Lash Fill, we will have to inspect your lashes upon arrival to determine if a Lash Fill can be done. The factors we will look at are: the condition of the current lashes, how clean the adhesive application is, type/quality of lashes, how much are missing, and overall styling. While we hope you find us your go-to for your lash needs, sometimes we may not be able to Lash Fill you and a new set may be required. If that is the case, your Lash Artist will discuss this with you.

During Your Appointment

Be prepared, be comfortable. Your lash appointment can take anywhere from one to two hours. For most, a lash appointment is not only a ritual for self-care but also an opportunity to take a little beauty nap too!

After Care

Consult with your Lash Artist on any specific aftercare instructions for you. Each brand or product that we carry may require specific aftercare steps that are unique to the products that were determined best for you. Here are some general after care tips:

Only use lash extension approved mascaras. Ask your Lash Artist for suggestions on what mascaras you may use. Its also recommended to consult with your Lash Artist about options to add volume to your set to eliminate the need.

Use lash bath. Especially if you wear makeup around your eyes to avoid build up. Use a gentle cool fan to lightly dry them and fluff them back up as an optional step.

Brush your lashes often.

Avoid oil-based products directly on your lashes.

Avoid high-heat sources Such as putting your face too close to BBQs, ovens, and fires.

Do not pull or pick at your extensions.

Do not perm, tint, or curl your lashes.

Sleeping face down or on your lashes will cause fall out or your lashes to go out of shape.

And most important: Book your lash fills every two weeks!

Know Your Lashes

On average, a person can lose up to 20% of their natural lashes every two weeks.

  1. Natural eyelashes grow in and fall out in cycles, which occurs every 60 to 90 days.

  2. Depending on their individual lash growth cycles, a person can typically shed between 1 and 5 natural lashes every day.

  3. A new eyelash has already been growing to replace the lash that falls out and for most of us, we don’t even notice.

When you wear eyelash extensions, it will be more noticeable when these lashes shed because they are longer and darker than your natural lashes. But, don’t worry, lash extensions should only shed when your natural lash has reached the end of its cycle.
